The Lowline Young Designers Program (YDP), which occurred from 2012-2016, grew organically out of interest and enthusiasm among local parents, educators, and community leaders, seeing the Lowline as not only extraordinarily exciting to young people, but a way to give these young people a voice in determining the kind of public space they would like the Lowline to become. It reached nearly 3,000 students, providing unique access to innovative, experiential education in the areas of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM).
Registration for the Young Designers Program is currently closed. Please contact education@thelowline.org with any questions.
The Education Committee is composed of a selected group of STEM professionals who have extensive experience in the field of STEAM and education. The Education Committee members advise the program in a variety of capacities that serve to enhance the program’s curriculum, operations and overall execution.
